windows setup guide
In 2022, after our team was reorganized, I stepped up and volunteered to be our team’s Windows and Linux focal. My coworker, who was moved to another team, held those positions, so the vacancy needed to be filled. My manager quickly approved my request.
As a Windows and Linux focal, my responsibilities were to:
Attend meetings with the Windows and Linux platform teams to learn about upcoming changes and updates.
Represent the IT Support team in platform meetings and advocate for our audience’s needs based on their submitted feedback.
Create platform setup guides for new and existing IBMers. These guides were used to onboard new employees (a QR code was placed on device boxes that would navigate the user to this guide) and help existing employees setup their computers again.
